WOLF'S MILK SLIME MOLD

Slime molds are a curious species that shows characteristics associated with both animals and fungi. They're a unicellular organism capable of movement, gradually working their way around rotting substrates consuming bacterial and fungal spores. With suitable conditions, these unicellular individuals aggregate to form fruiting bodies that release spores to become the next generation. Poke one of the fresh limps with a stick and you will quickly discover something: It is filled with sticky goo known as 'wolf's milk'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycogala_epidendrum
